I have seen so many beautiful dresses and have sewn some myself--one of the questions I get very often is should the ribbon be removed before washing? I would remove the ribbon and to rethread it-- just take a medium to large saftey pin attach it to one end of the ribbon and run it through all four holes, if the ribbon is frayed just snip it at an angle and you are off and running
